A pretty hot day today with sunny skies. Chance of a thundery shower over the northern and eastern suburbs tonight and overnight with some mid level instabiltiy but rainfall less than 5mm. Should top out at 40C today. Weekend looks slow to start rainfall wise but it will start to move up from Bass S...

Keep an eye on the impending MJO or monsoonal burst that is likely to develop around Christmas for northern Austrlaia. At least 3 TCs are possible out of this burst of weather and will likely see widespread rain and thunderstorms across the tropics that will move SE over the east and south of the co...

Looking like a great system coming up after some brief heat. I think we can look forward to some temps in the 35-38C range for Melbourne. Cannot quite see the 40C mark just yet as I think moisture and cloud will develop and afternoon showers and thunderstorms, not widespread, will feature in the sta...

Looking like an end to a very wet period across VIC today with the last of the showers pushing off to the east tonight. What a drenched landscape it is. From record falls in the NW, and Melbourne over the first two weeks, now it is the Gippsland regions turn with up to 400mm over the past week. Now ...

I am glad you had a good time! I am having a rest week - however did 21km run on Monday and will do another 5km run tomorrow and 21km run on Sunday just gave my body a good rest in between.
Plan will be changing up in July as I go more resistence training and lessen the cardio.

Sitting on about 40mm for the event as well with just a tad over 27mm from last nights effort but a very very tight rainfall gradient. Seemed to be topographically enhanced with Wantirna picking up 15mm and lighter falls to Viewbank etc. Not much happening at the moment but further showers likely to...

Very good falls up and around the NW. 60mm in some spots, 40mm in the Swan Hill area and all of that heading south and east this afternoon. Rain will increase over the southern side of the divide from this afternoon and locally heavy falls developing overnight. Models generally missed the heavy fall...

Quite a few storms on the leading edge of the rain band as it is moving in from the NW. 15-20mm showing up in pockets in the Mallee and Riverlands at the moment and in SW and W NSW. Lots of cloud erupting in moist air. I think we will see rain developing overnight and increasing during tomorrow in M...

Models are looking very good this morning with extended period of wet weather for most of the state over the coming week. Scattered showers around VIC this morning mainly in C VIC. Should see that clear this morning with rain and thunderstorms developing over western and northern VIC later today. It...

The push towards a La Nina is starting to gain ground with the SOI continuing to move in the right direction, trade winds beginning to increase and SSTs really cooling across the E Pacific region. A moderate event looks on the cards with room for further strengthening in the event over the coming mo...

Had 18mm with the band of rain and local thunder this morning. NIce squall as it came through and not much of a drop in temp. Cold front has arrived now and dropped 8mm in quick time and sitting on 26mm for the event. Probably 1mm more in it and then a generally fine afternoon. Place is an absolute ...

I think a reasonable burst of rain and wind overnight and tomorrow morning for southern areas. 10-25mm looks like a good bet about southern and mountain areas with a dusting of snow for the highlands (albeit washed away over the weekend). Next week looking like a messy situation but perhaps becoming...

After the results of 80-100mm for many places and widespread 50mm falls across the state, it is a sign of what is to come from the Indian Ocean. Lots of moisture still tracking across the country and likely to see further heavy thundery rain events this winter and it will most likely remain mild and...

Eating has been good too and continuing to maintain a really good pattern of work, rest and play!

No it does not feel like winter at all. Cool but very humid at this time. Just on 4mm overnight from heavy drizzle and light showers. Should see a few showers and thunderstorms with a change on Thursday/Friday with 10mm possible through much of southern VIC and up to 15mm along the ranges and coast....

LOL! Sounds perfect Anthony! I finished with a whopping 101.4mm for the evening. Had a tremendous storm at around 920pm last night that contained hail and strong winds and torrential rain. It was followed by another storm at around 10pm with strong winds and very heavy rain. Then it was thundery rai...

Yeah ILS certainly has the feel for it. I think GFS has handled this system appallingly just quietly so I would take this run like the others with a grain of very fine salt. That said, unchanged forecast for mine. Widespread 20-50mm across the state, 50-100mm over northern areas and the northeast is...
