Fairly iffy instability around Melbourne according the most recent Skew-T, I’d expect these thundery showers on the radar to collapse very quickly once the sun gets a bit lower.
When I saw it at lunchtime on the BoM site and looked at the sky - Nah, no storms b4 the front maximum!

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

I just checked the Satloop. The 2 major cloud bands up through NSW / QLD are tracking south fairly quickly. I don't expect to see the huge storms currently up there, but hopefully, some H2O :D

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

The latest Progs are looking remarkable. Big, long lived wet system. but showers, rain and some storms continue right through next week with a surface trough which slowly deepens with deep easterly upslide. Looking like both “long weekends” could be washouts at this point. That's why I didn't put a...

another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

Will this be a La Nina onslaught or another fizzer? At time of writing Access and GFS suggesting the former!

Another low tracking south over Vic/Tas 16-19 Oct

Have been watching the models for a few days now. They seem to be starting to fall into line. Another low is forecast to form to the north and track south over Vic before cutting off. Could be another state-wide event, hopefully with storms this time.

Re: Warm with possible heavy falls developing: First week of October

will this be the tropical with thunderstorms active, or just a more winter like rain set in with risk of some thunder like the last time? but imo it's going to be too cold and cloudy for anything spectacular. I have seen some spectacular night light shows with the surface temps at 10c-12c (one was ...

I noticed that too; even for here. I tipped out 11.8mm for Part A (9.6mm on PWS).

EC has thunderstorms for quite a few hours Wednesday into Thursday so could well see flash flooding type rainfall rates reading between the model guidance.
I will be almost jetlagged! Will not be able to sleep! :D
