Stawell Tornado May 2012

Hey guys and girls, I've spent a while trying to find the chat relating to the tornado in Stawell on 24/25th of May 2012. We have a thread on it with a few details and wanted to link back to here with the discussion on it. Hell of a storm, very impressive on radar for the entire event. Brayden has p...

Re: Tapa Talk

With tapatalk it automatically resizes the pics to one uniform size. If you want more detail, just tap the pic and it shows the good version. Crikey, I think in the user control panel you can go to: Board Preferences > Edit Display Options > Display Images in posts > click "No" That should...

Re: Tapa Talk

Sorry for the blatant plug but no weather forums are making things mobile friendly or catering for the mobile device market. Not a good thing for the near future. Frustrating for users.

Tapa Talk

Have you guys taken a look at incorporating tapatalk into the forum? We did and it was one of the best things we have ever done. Over 50% of internet use in Australia is now done via mobile devices and that is increasing rapidly. Tapatalk allows mobile device users to browse phpBB forums in a format...

Re: Vic - Potential showers/storms - 21st Dec to Boxing Day

Thanks for finding out those facts John. It's quite interesting that not all areas of Victoria have had lots of rainfall during the past few months. Whilst some parts of western, central and eastern Victoria are wet and even green, down here in the Southwest, things are brown, in fact had a few gra...

Re: Vic - Potential showers/storms - 21st Dec to Boxing Day

Hi All, Doing a writeup from my chase yesterday. Looking through the radar frames and have noticed what I think to be a fairly strong hook, plus couplet on radar over Doreen from the Melton cell. It occurs at 18:12 EDT on the 64km + 128km rain rate radar and 18:13 on the doppler. I haven't got a cl...

Oh and thanks for the feedback on the pics that Pete posted for me.
Its great to see WIN News seeking a more educated opinion on photos rather than "jumping the shark" as the Herald chooses to do.

How we missed out on seeing that. Plenty of green eyed monsters over here. We have been posting bits but most of us have been lurking this forum :) I have the radar loop too via http://www.oscilmet.com.au/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (Mike Fewings' website) 4am 25th Dec ...

Re: Perth/Western Australia - General Weather and Obs

well one super cell and its still rotating hours later. We had one of our guys accidentally core punch this monster. The rotating core hidden behind the rain. It stalled for 20-30mins but continued its rotation. Jordan got some insane footage from all accounts and no time between flangs. He'd never ...

Where did you find this mod?
I have been looking at a few but this is just what I've been looking for.
I've seen "share on" but looks clunky.

Severe cold front 28 June 2011

This is going to be a ripper. Its not often we see BoM issue severe weather warnings so far out in WA. It's been a few years since we have had one this strong. Here's the link to the thread on the WA Weather Group Forum. http://www.waweathergroup.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1410" onclick=...

Re: Any day weather Obs/discussion for WA

Figure it's as good a place as any to get the word out we are doing a WA meet up in late July.
I'll put it up on twitter and on the WA forum. Well it's already on there but we are nutting out the finer points.
Well we are figuring out where to go
