Steady rain here, started just after 7am and so far 9mm's.
Very warm last night didnt drop below 11c
Seems about the same here at Scarsdale. Just ticked over to 10mm, nice steady, soaking rain with good run-off to the dam.
The puppy however is not impressed.
Low temps and good rainfall all around! Very wintery indeed.
So, maxed out across today at 5.9, and rainfall last few days another 38mm bringing me up to 171mm for the month. Highest May rainfall here since I have been here (2007) by more than double!
Good totals for many today, with a bit of sunshine next week, should really start to see some green come through.
We landed on 63mm for the last 24hrs, and that's 132mm for May so far.
Now at 45mm since it started 13 hours ago, no complaints here as can even see the dam filling now.
MTD at 115mm, so maybe on for 120mm or 130mm from May by the end of this round!
Raining steadily here in Scarsdale since around 6pm. 12mm so far, and looking like quite a bit more over the next few hours. Good, steady, soaking rain. Just what we need
Long time no post.... Anyhooo, just wanted to report that we just got smashed by a cell. 200mm/hr rain rate. 22mm in short order. Gutters couldn't cope, lots of water in the sheds, and rivers running down the block. Too dark too see any other "damage" I like rain, but maybe not all at once...
Its stating, decent rainfall now at home. Rumbling thunder. Looking at the radar I'd say we are in for 10-15mm here. That will be great if it comes off.
Hope everyone else gets some too. It's nice to hear it on the roof!
Agin my 2 cents worth..... Get ready Central and North Central. Storms extending further north and south along the trough than forecast. As i mentioned earlier 6-9pm is the key window for Melbourne. Long time no posts, but for once I am home (in the country) when we look like getting some weather :...
20mm since about 10am, with 13mm of that falling in about 10 mins around 11:30. AWS says 110mm/hr peak rate. :o Was in the car at the time, diabolical conditions. Happy with 20mm, and the follow-up showers. House water tanks are now full, and overflowing into the irrigation tank. Garden is loving it.
Well we ended up with 10mm, less that I was hoping but still useful to water the garden and put some water into the tanks. Some great falls around, I hope everyone had some luck with this
