Re: Low crossing Vic 22 - 23 Nov

Impressive system with eastern Melb once again doing the best. Reminds me of the April rain event that dumped 50-70mm across much of the metro overnight Aecsss C nailed this event like EC had the second band developing in the SW then dumping on us in the early morning 49mm here another big rainfall...

Re: Trough with low to our north: 27-31 October.

Fairly sure we’ve had several days over 20c already :) We haven’t hit 20 since 15 October. We’ve never had a full run of teens from 16-31 October since records began in Melbourne. It’s already hit 19.4 in Melbourne today so it’s close! Aha that explains why I haven't been able to thaw out over the ...

Re: Trough with low to our north: 27-31 October.

What a week just days of E, SE winds and weather moving E to W as the upper low just sits and spins over the NSW SA border. Huge stroms in Qld then NSw but sadly not for us. The strong Ely winds atm just wont let up quite impressive really ad will blow most of the week to Wet week for Gippy and the...

Any chance of the sun poking out from this mid level cloud ?
I’m desperate for some storm action 8-)
I'm not liking the chances of any sun poking out, cloud looks pretty thick on the satellite image. I'm happy to be surprised though :P

Re: Warm with possible heavy falls developing: First week of October

There is a forcefield west of Melbourne, as soon as it reached Melbourne's western plains, Pacman formed a gaping hole as was evident on the radar :x

Not complaining we had lovely rain overnight. :D

Re: Deep low and cold outbreak: September 22-29

La Nina is official as of today, so hopefully she delivers. Will be interesting to see how it plays out compared to 2010/11/12. BOM says it's not as strong, but I don't think anything's off the table right now. Big blob of rain passing through Adelaide right now, will move through Mildura tonight. ...

Re: Warm with a rainband: Sept 12-13

I saw a reference to Truganina in an earlier post, so here is an update on the recent rain event. The 2 day rainfall total in Truganina ( to 9.00 am Sunday 13/9 ) was 20.4 mm. This compares well with the nearby Laverton BoM AWS with 19.4 mm, and the Melbourne Water gauge on Skeleton Creek with 21.0...

Re: Becoming warm and windy ahead of a late cool change: August 29-31

Looks like another year where I didn't make it to 20 degrees in August for my immediate area. That's 4 years in a row now. 2016 was the last time I got to 20 in August. Warmest maximum was 19.8 (today) for August 2020, the coldest being 7.8 on the 4th. Probably will get to 80mm of rain by 9am tomor...
