Pretty windy here in Box Hill, could see lightning over the city, very little in the way of rain, the cloud shelf rolling by was most impressive as were the colours on he clouds from the sun

reports of multiple tornadoes between Cobram & Yarrawonga around 8pm. Have not been able to get in touch with various friends up that way but sounds pretty serious if there are injuries...

It's now picked up here, hailing right now, regular bursts of thunder etc. Enjoying the show !

Nice ! Lots of rumbles and some flashing in the distance towards SE burbs. Temp has really dropped in last 30 mins. Looks like the storm action will bypass here, but nice to hear / see it in the distance anyway

Noticed a NZ flight going some odd direction over here, then Heard the Thunder also.
Plane was doing some ducking and weaving..

May have been the Air NZ flight that was hit by the lightning last night - was mentioned in the news today...

Yep, heavens just opened here for about 20 seconds. One close-ish rumble and that seems to be it...nice suprise !

But all done, just not going to turn on the unit for a while I think ! But given how much came do...

That first line was dying by the time it got to my area, though some unbelievable crawlers flying around, some of the best I have seen in years. A pity I couldn't get more shots, but I can see the flashes from the second line in the distance now so hope the rain backs off a touch and I can get a sho...
