Re: 1-7 March: Cold front then ex TC or trough?

70mm at Mt Macedon. I was thinking about your bull ants building Mount Fuji’s in your driveway the other day. Seems to have been a more reliable sign of big rain ahead than the models! Ah yes! Those bull ants knew what they were doing. I was very intrigued to see that yesterday afternoon they had s...

Re: 1-7 March: Cold front then ex TC or trough?

Oh well, looks like "summer" is over ahead of the solstice this year. Pretty crappy season it was, with hardly any prolonged heat and February behaving more like late March/early April. The lack of global warming protestors in the city shows it must have indeed been a cool one 🤣🤣🤣 Was it though? Wa...

Very interesting summer for me, bookended by snowflurries on 2/12 and frost on 27/2.

Oops! Actually as low as 3.7C at Trentham. Might be some frost patches in low lying areas around there.

Our Bull Ants think something big is coming, they are building Mt Fujis on my gravel drive.
Down to 7.6C already tonight. An early frost could be on the cards

Re: Vic - Humid & Potential for Rain: Feb 5-20, 2020

I def like this kind of summer. I would be more than happy to not see anything close to 30C until next November.
Cold night here 6.6C min and 9.8C max, back to 9.7C now.
I'm up to about 180mm ytd. Soooo much better than this time last year.

Re: Vic - Humid & Potential for Rain: Feb 5-20, 2020

Wow, just went out to Malmsbury to the farmers market, left home in ground level fog/mist and 14C. The fog disappeared at the summit of MM which is less than 1km from home. A boomingly bright sun and 24C at Malmsbury had me running from shade tree to shade tree at the market shedding layers of cloth...

Re: Vic - Humid & Potential for Rain: Feb 5-20, 2020

Ended up with 14.2mm mostly thanks to the second band. It is amazing how often Mt Macedon/Central Highlands will split an event like yesterdays storm. Not even Trentham did well out of it. My week total now is 25mm. I dont think i've ever seen it so green here in summer (apart from the two drought b...
