Re: Strong front and possible low: June 2-6

Up to 26mm here. Best result since last year, so very happy. It's certainly been a long time between drinks. :P
This should set us up nicely for the rest of winter. :D

New forecast is out, colder and wetter. Enjoy your evening, Monday morning won’t be nice.
Guess who has tomorrow off work! :D
Hopefully this time there are no dramas in the office & I can actually get out & do a snow chase.

Re: Low pressure sequence. 24–31 May

This constant drizzle has been magic. Pretty much been going for a few hours now. :D I'm just shaking my head in disbelief at the rainfall totals you guys are posting. Our totals are pretty much on par with the CBD & Laverton (a tad over 100mm for the year, 55mm for the month). Hard to believe when ...

Loving the sound of that glorious rain on the tin roof here at work. :D
It's been a long wait after all that wind. Going to be a long drive home tonight.

Re: Low pressure sequence. 24–31 May

It's been typical western windy crap out this way so far, although have to say that wind chill certainly tested ones will at junior soccer training last night.

Things are certainly going to be rather interesting later on this afternoon if the sat pic is anything to go by.

Re: Low pressure sequence. 24–31 May

Just look at those bands spilt in two as they approach the western boredom zone. This area needs a bomb put under it! :x

Have the day off work today, so options are wide open. Pity it wasn't a few degrees cooler, otherwise a snow chase would of been on the cards.

Just easing off somewhat here. I'm about to run outside to take the dog for her toilet break before bed, fair to say she's not impressed. :P
Will check the gauge while I'm at it.

Re: Strong fronts and possible low: May 7-12

Just missing that band here for now. Water temps in the Bays and Bass strait are currently 4 to 5c warmer than the air temp above it. That epic cell around Wonthaggi is a loving that soupy warm sea surface feed. I've been watching that cell around Wonthaggi all morning. Just amazing how stationary ...

To be fair James the heavy stuff hasn't really hit here yet either. We have been right on the edge of it since last night. Will be interesting to see what happens once things tend more southerly.

Re: Strong fronts and possible low: May 7-12

Pea sized hail, torrential rain and loud thunder in the last half hour here - wonderful start to the day! My work colleague just drove in that from Geelong. He said it was one of the scariest drives in he's ever done. Was driving along at 50km on the Princes Hwy at one stage. :o Meanwhile 14mm reco...

Re: Strong fronts and possible low: May 7-12

Was just looking at the radar & checking out the Access C chart Jasmine posted earlier. Absolutely spot on! :) Can't get over how slow it's all moving. Certainly going to be some great totals out west. The whinging is annoying. Particularly from those who live in historically dry parts of the state,...
