Latest models now suggesting heat will persist from Saturday 28/11 through to Monday 30/11. Could be huge

Re: Low / Trough 15 - 16 Nov

Horrible gusty westerly filth out there today. Going to make the trip home on the bike rather unpleasant. :x

I'd say that most of us in the western wasteland will have to crank up the sprinklers & plant watering this week with no rain whatsoever on the horizon.

Re: Low / Trough 15 - 16 Nov

Some gusty windy showers pushing through down here on the island. Shocking day to be down on the north facing beaches.

As expected, nothing back at the other place in the western wasteland.

Re: Trough and front: 10-12 November

Typically - it will arrive @ School pick up. Dry so far, although radar is multi coloured. Edit - big fat drops and 5 minutes till the bell. Why does this ALWAYS happen during school pick-up! Got caught in it picking up my son from school. On top of that you get the bananas on the road who have thi...

Of course, it’s heavily overcast... :x
Not at all surprised to be honest.
IMO the storm season won't get cranking until at least late December, so anything that we possibly get now I see as a bonus.

Another rather pathetic cold front, not even enough to register half a mm here.

Time to dust off the sprinkler & hoses with virtually no rain on the horizon.

Bit of a boring yawn feast in this neck of the woods. Another dry & sunny morning here.
Not much in the outlook either.

2 weeks to go & counting. :D

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

I'm going to lock in about 30mm for here, even though my manual gauge has registered more than that.
A simply excellent result. :D

Getting the tail end of it now, should clear within the next 15 minutes. Should then be able to walk the dog who has been very patient.

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

In a state of shock here. :o Just tipped 32mm out of my gauge although the nearest two Melbourne Water sites (Deer Park & St Albans) are reporting 25-26mm. Think my ornamental tree might be starting to interfere with things with it's canopy growth. Time to move the gauge I think. We have FINALLY bro...

Re: another 1 or 2 lows tracking SE over Vic 22 Oct - ?

Good morning all. :) Perfect conditions out there for the morning walk with the Kelpie. Really hope this one comes off & we get a decent drink. Planning on throwing some fertilizer on the plants, however not going to bother if it fizzers out yet again. .........and Skywalker will need medication Hah...

Gotta love your enthusiasm Twister. :hysteria:
I do wonder if you would share the same kind of optimism living out here in the western suburbs. :P

Really hope that it's a matter of third time lucky & we finally get a decent drop with this system.
Time will tell.

while most the rest of Vic sees at least a months worth of rain.
I will believe that when I see it.

Someone had the sprinkler going in my street yesterday, that's how much confidence people in my area have of receiving a decent drop anytime soon.

Another dribs & drabs event here, just over 5mm here. Not looking ahead to next week's potential event at all. Tbh the so called models have been a sick joke lately. Glad it’s not gonna be warm and sunny with Melbournians still housebound So need a trip to the coast.... I would just like the ...

Re: Warm with possible heavy falls developing: First week of October

My sister built a house near Rockbank, and naturally the first thing that went up was my weather station. The climate couldn't be more different compared to the south east. That area on that side might as well be part of a different country. It is nothing like the rest of Melbourne. More like Alice...

Re: Warm with possible heavy falls developing: First week of October

Fizzer overnight here, nothing but windy filth! :cussing: Unfortunately nowhere near the amount of rain I was hoping for, but guess that's to be expected in the boredom zone. Will be back to watering plants early next week. At least it will be mainly dry for my son's special day tomorrow (his birthd...
